Itinerary
Day 1 – Combination of Jeep Tour & Short Hiking:
- Your tour itinerary will begin with a visit to the Nabatean Temple where you will have the opportunity to see the ancient ruins.
- From there we will go to the famous Lawrence’s Spring, where Lawrence of Arabia reputedly washed during the Arab Revolt. There you can easily climb a nearby rock formation and take in the scenery and one of the best views of the vast landscape.
- Then we go to Jabel Khazali Canyon; just 15 minutes walking inside the canyon and you will see the oldest rock inscriptions in Wadi Rum from different civilizations (Nabatean, Thamoud, and old Islamic inscriptions ).You can find on the canyon walls many ancient rock inscriptions (see if you can spot the inscriptions of feet, and the lady giving birth) .
- We will then drive to the Red Sand Dunes in Wadi Um Ishrin (there we will take you for sand boarding if you are interested).
- Then on to Jebel Anafishiya, where you can see ancient Nabatean inscriptions in the rock.
- Lawrence’s House: small wall in café, used by Lawrence of Arabia during his stay in Wadi Rum 1914.
- From there, we continue on to the Barrauh Canyon where we will have lunch in the shade of a humbling cliff.
- Lunch: After lunch, there is an optional short 1Km trek through the canyon.
- Mushroom stone: it’s very beautiful rock shaped like Mashroom.
- Al Mahama Canyon: very nice short canyon, the guide will leave you in the entrance of the north of the canyon and pick you up from the south entrance, it’s around 45 minute hiking through the beautiful narrow canyon.
- We then drive to the base of the mountain that holds the Jebel Burdah rock bridge.
- Then on to Um Fruth Bridge (which is about 20 meters high and a favorite for climbers). Easy to climb and to get picture in the bridge.
- Then through Wadi Kashkasheh Canyon to the most famous mountain in Wadi Rum.
- Sunset: We will then guide you to a magnificent place atop a red sand dune where you can watch the legendary Wadi Rum sunset. Our guide will prepare you Bedouin tea, you will drink it while you watch the sunset.
- Dinner: Once the evening sets in, we will head back to our beautiful campsite where you will enjoy a delicious dinner, cooked in the traditional Bedouin way, and sip sweet Bedouin tea around our campfire before retiring for the night to your comfortable tents.
Day 2 – Camel Trekking for 5 hours.
After your traditional Bedouin breakfast in our camp, we will bring you to meet your camels and your camel guide.
- You will have a brief tutorial on how to mount and ride your camel, ways to ride comfortably, and how to ensure you have the most enjoyable experience while trekking on the back of these incredible creatures.
- Then you will start with the camels from the camp, we will take you around, trying to avoid tourist sites, taking you to quiet places, you will do three hours in the morning,
- Lunch: then to a shadowy place to rest and have lunch,
- Then another 3 hours to be ended in the Village.
- Sunset: We will drive you to very beautiful sunset, your guide will prepare for you Bedouin tea in the fire, and you will enjoy drinking tea and watching the sun dip below the horizon, and then we will drive you back to the campsite for the night.
- Dinner: Once the evening sets in, we will head back to our beautiful campsite where you will enjoy a delicious dinner, cooked in the traditional Bedouin way, and sip sweet Bedouin tea around our campfire before retiring for the night to your comfortable tents.

Why Book With Us?
"Very well organised camp in a beautiful part of Wadi Rum. Fast and reliable contact, superb food, open-minded and friendly staff and fantastic guides (if you want a hiking/scrambling tour, ask for Mutlag, he is fabulous). Huts and washrooms are basic, but after all you're in the desert, not in the city. We did the Rakabet Canyon Tour (two days of hiking) and took camels as our way back to the village. Two terrific days, unforgettable. Thanks to Ahmed and his staff. Highest recommendation!"
Extraordinary!Reisebegleiter_10
"Wadi Rum is an amazing and beautiful part of the world. For us, it was the highlight of our trip to Jordan. Rum Stars is a very well run operation - Ahmed was very responsive and provided lots of info when we booked, our trip (2 days, 1 night) was well paced and everything proceeded seamlessly. Food was hearty and filling, huts and washrooms basic but clean and of a great standard considering the remote location. Camel riding was a highlight. Wadi Rum is a must-see if you are visiting Jordan, and I would highly recommend Rum Stars as the way to do so."
Fabulous experience!12TravelCats
"We very thoroughly enjoyed our experience in the desert. There is amazing scenery though it is clear the life is not an easy one. Our Rum Stars hosts rose early and retired late after a very long day. They were accommodating and friendly. I think we were the oldest people in the camp but found that the pace and scope of the jeep trip and hikes were well within our ability. We will be happy to give five stars.
The young man guiding the camels was a delight and the camels were a pleasure to observe. I will note that my wife's saddle did not fit or was not padded and she was very sore. An improvement is suggested in this area.
We enjoyed learning the traditional foods and enjoyed the fresh vegetables and bread.
The tea and its ritual preparation under the cliffs was memorable."
