Bivouac Camping

When was the last time you took part in adventurous camping? Relaxing in the evening around the camp fire in the middle of the desert cooking traditional Bedouin food listening to old Bedouin stories after a long day is the perfect way to experience the beauty that is the Wadi Rum desert. Think about the serenity of the landscape around you, not about your next day at work, while you experience true Bedouin hospitality. You will eat like the Bedouin’s have done for generations, under a canopy of stars, and sleep in tents or in the open outdoors.

We invite you to join us and sample this traditional way of life after an adventure-filled day on our camels or hiking safaris. Sit under the night’s sky and forget all the stress and strains of life outside of the desert back home.

Our Desert Safaris are fully prepared to ensure your every comfort. We provide tents with sleeping equipment, mattresses and blankets. We recommend you bring your own:

Sleeping bag.
Good shoes for hiking (boots are preferable) and if possible sandals, which will be more comfortable for walking in the sand.
Headlamp/torch
Sun screen
A small bag to carry your camera and personal belongings during your hike/tour.

Additional Informations

Bathroom Amenities:
There are no toilets or showers available in the desert. If you wish to have these facilities available to you before you leave we can arrange for you to spend your last night at the Rum Stars Camp.

Food:
We will supply three meals per day, mineral water, Bedouin tea and water to wash with for you to enjoy throughout the period of you trip. Our expeditions are hiking and trekking trips only and we do not use cars except to carry your luggage and the camping equipment to the various camp sites.

Booking for Bivouac Camping:
If you wish to Bivouac Camp only or pick one of the other tours already listed and add Bivouac Camping to it as well we will be more than happy to make the necessary arrangements. Contact us directly and we will start designing your itinerary tailored to your specific requests.
